Viet Hai fishing village is located approximately 18 kilometers from Cat Ba Island, on an island in  the vast sea and bordered by the  high mountains and jungle of Cat Ba National Park. Thanks to the pristine natural landscapes and the friendly locals, the ecological community in Viet Hai  attracted more and more tourists, both domestic and international. Once setting foot here, visitors feel the tranquil and serene atmosphere, feast  their eyes on the appealing scenery, and make friends with the local people, forming unforgettable, treasured memories.

Visitors  can easily reach  Viet Hai  village by  trekking about  8 kilometers (5 miles), or via a 45 minute boat ride  from Beo pier in Cat Ba Town. The walking trekking approach allows you to pass by the lovely Ao Ech Lake, while the boat trip  is  another chance for you to enjoy the  Lan Ha Bay scenery with hundreds of islets, sandy beaches, floating houses on the way.  Just a few years ago, this village was absolutely secluded from the outside world with around 80 households maintaining their self-sustaining  lifestyle as did the ancient humans of thousands of years ago. The locals here always  friendly with their  neighbors, and are very honest there is no need for locked doors since theft does not occur, and residents are always willing to help each other if  there is  need. A visit to Viet Hai will definitely be a highlight of your trip and help you to relax and forget all of the hustle and bustle of daily urban life.
